NW WOMEN OF COLOR AND ALLIES SUMMIT AND BENEFIT BLUES CONCERT

The National Organization for Women (NOW) and NOW Foundation are joining with more than a dozen organizations throughout the NW to organize a Northwest Women of Color and Allies Summit in Tacoma, WA November 9-11, 2007, hosted by the Korean Women's Association. This 6 state NW Regional Summit will reach hundreds of women and men to address critical issues often disregarded at a societal level. Topics will include civil and human rights, reproductive, economic and racial justice, education, violence against women, and a vigil for Immigration reform. The Summit will result in a Plan of Action to bring home to our communities. One of the ways to support the NW WOCA is to attend Wild Women Don’t Get the Blues! a benefit concert on October 14th at the Highway 99 Blues Club featuring The Red Hotz and the Kim Archer Band w/special guest Lady A. The Summit will take place at the Korean Women’s Association Community Center, 123 E. 96th St., Tacoma, Nov 9-11, 2007

Benefit Blues concert will be at Highway 99 Blues Club, 1414 Alaska Way, Seattle, Sunday, October 14 6pm – 10pm $10 suggested donation at the door
