Communities Rising Activist Summer Picnic

  • Woodland Park 1000 North 50th Street Seattle, Washington, 98103 United States (map)

Seattle NOW will be tabling and speaking at this progressive community gathering hosted by Communities Rising, a local Indivisible group. Join Seattle-area activists, organizations, and neighbors for an afternoon of networking, food, and conversation. With midterms approaching, this is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded advocates, share ideas, and talk strategy. Each group will have time to introduce themselves and their work. There will also be games for kids and adults, making this a fun, all-ages afternoon.

Potluck details:

The picnic is potluck style, with items assigned by the first letter of your last name:
A-F: Non-alcoholic drinks
G-L: Side dishes
M-S: Main course

Bring a lightweight chair if you have one.

From 4:00 to 5:00 PM, we’ll have tabling, socializing and fun, including games for kids and adults.
The potluck is from 5:00 to 6:00 PM — people are welcome to bring something to share, but the most important thing is that they come.
From 6:00 to 7:00 PM, we’ll have a short program where groups can introduce themselves and their work.
From 7:00 to 8:00 PM, we’ll have small-group discussion for those who can stay.
